Millions of people all over the world are victims of low self-confidence, are you one of these people? Do you find yourself shying away from doing things because you just don’t have the self-confidence to follow through?
Imagine a world where you could put on your self confidence as you would put on your pants?
Since you don’t have a super self-confidence suit you can put on , here are some easy to use strategies to increase your low self-confidence.
These techniques are an exercise in self reflection and will help you to start your path of self empowerment. I also have learned how to meditate and it has helped me in numerous ways.
1. Be your own best friend
Regardless of the outcome, the trick is to be your own best friend.Why not go ahead and do something you never did before today. Go ahead and do something that you have always been fearful of doing. All that matters is that you give it an honest attempt, the outcome is irrelevant at this point. Congratulate yourself for a great effort. Well at the least you were able to try some new things!
Instead of focusing on the myriad of outcomes focus your efforts on the act of actually doing. Nobody is perfect so don’t assume you have to be. The trick is to accept your limitations and not focus on them. We all have problems of our own.
2. Let go of your fear.
When you are about to try something new, does you low self confidence cause you to worry so much about the outcome that there is no way you can follow through? Alter the way you view things. Stop being afraid, Look at these new things in your life as an opportunity to learn something. Let it open up the possibility for you to overcome your low self-confidence and excel at something.
Don’t waste your time worrying about what will happen, all you will do is ruin any chance you had of success.There is no possible way that you will ever be able to grow as a person and overcome your lack of confidence if you continue to be afraid. Failure is not an option for you. Fear is a construct of our imagination.
3. Control your Thoughts.
Pay heed to the advice of your inner voice. We all constantly chatter to ourselves. Pay close attention to your thoughts and what you are thinking at all times. As a negative thought comes to mind you must be strong and stop this destructive way of thinking. These negative thoughts are fueling your low self-confidence. Use positive affirmations to replace your negative thoughts. Tell yourself you are worthy and self-confident. Most of what goes on in our heads are an illusion anyway.
Our reality is programed by the negative thoughts we dwell upon each and every day.
As far as I know nobody is perfect and that includes you. Give yourself a break and start filling your mind with positive and productive thoughts starting today.
4. Don’t concern yourself with the expectations of others.
You are defining yourself by letting others dictate how you think about yourself. Your sense of self worth will diminish and the increase in low self-confidence will rise.
Figure out who you really are. Look inside and see that you are no different then anyone else. In our own way we are unique and worthy. You don’t have to live up to the ideals of someone else to help you feel good.
When you can get to this point you will begin to realize the abject futility of relying on someone else for your happiness and fulfillment. As you start to increase your unique sense of self you will begin to find it very empowering.
Your low self-confidence won’t disappear over night, you must accept that it will take time to change these self defeating habits. Don’t be afraid of failing and approach each day with the attitude that I will get through this day in a positive and confident manner.
Become a positive being and take back control of your life.
Accept in your heart that you are a wonderfully unique person and have the right to fully experience anything you want.
Bid farewell to your low self-confidence once and for all. You can be free from all your self effacing behaviours and learn how to manifest all your desires.
