Understanding Past Lives Will Free You From The Past

There are many things we can do in order to find out more about our past lives whether we believe in reincarnation or not. Interestingly enough though, the amount of people who believe in reincarnation far exceeds the number who don’t. In fact, reincarnation forms the backbone of many religions with Hinduism and Buddhism being just two of them. For many who don;t have any spiritual connection, reincarnation offers a common sense approach to solving some of life’s many mysteries.

Maintain a Diary or Journal of Experiences

It is generally accepted that by writing down the facts of your experiences, you stand the best chance of learning about your past lives. It is even advised that one should record the experiences which appear to be of little significance. Likewise, one should not neglect to record the way in which your emotions were affected by any experiences you’ve had as emotions are an ideal indicator which can lead to providing many clues. By documenting your experiences in a diary or journal, you’ll have a written record which you can then go over as and when required.

These clues which have been mentioned, often manifest themselves in our day to day lives and providing you’re willing to look for them, you’re sure to find some. For example, you could start by making one or two lists. The first one could consist of the things you like or don’t like and could cover a wide range of factors, from foods to religions, from cultures to historical events. The second list on the other hand could cover more personal aspects such as moods, temper, talents and even any specific fears you may have. Additionally, keep a record of other things such as any scars you have and even make a note of your birthmark. While these may seem insignificant, they may well provide clues further down the line to a past life. Even feelings of deja-vu are worth writing down.

On many occasions, experiences from past lives can show themselves in a dream so for this reason,it’s advisable to keep a note of your dreams, especially when you feel there is any indication that some aspects of a dream represent a past life. Keep in mind that dreams can often be a combination of of past and present experiences. Also, because the human mind can be very receptive to suggestion, one should suggest to yourself just as you’re going to sleep that you wish to recall memories from past lives. It is then essential that you write down the details of any dream follow such suggestions.

Past Life Regression Therapy

Of course not everyone is in a position to meet with a past life regression therapist but if you can then it is certainly advisable that you do. Being professionals in this field, these people are trained and certified to offer guidance as well as to assist you in understanding any of the information you may receive. The International Association of Regression, Research and Therapies, together with the International Association of Past Life Therapists, both train and certify people in this field and are therefor able to offer assistance should you encounter any problems finding a reputable therapist.

Meditation

While meditation is an extremely valuable and worthwhile tool for anyone wishing to learn more about their past lives, many people have trust issues regarding the information they receive. This is hardly surprising really when when considers that meditation is in essence, a very private and personal affair. Perhaps the only way around this issue is for you to place your trust in your instincts and to follow your feelings.

With images constantly fading in and fading out, meditation can very often appear to be much the same as daydreaming. However, you should make sure you write everything down so that you can go over it at your leisure, at a time that best suits you. One should remember though, because the human mind is so receptive to suggestion, if you tell yourself you can’t recall past life experiences, then you simply won’t be able to.

For some people meditating requires sound whilst others prefer the quiet and maybe the visual stimulus of a candle flame. By sound, this can be a piece of music, the “om” of Tibetan bells or a recorded meditation session supplied by a therapist.

A recent discovery using audio technology, known as �binaural beats�, is proving to be extremely effective at inducing an instant state of relaxation. Test results show that playing sound waves of different frequencies into each ear, produces a state of relaxation just as deep and intense as that which is experienced by Zen monks.

You need a place of peace to practice your meditation, somewhere where you will not be disturbed, whichever method you choose.

Get yourself comfortable either sitting or lying down and ensure you are in a positive frame of mind. When things you do not want to think about enter your mind, acknowledge them and then let them pass. This may not come easily at first but with a little practice it will be second nature. Simply concentrate on nothing except relaxing and focus on your heart. Should any questions arise, ask them and then move on. You will discover the answers come to you when you are least expecting them.

Whether or not you believe in reincarnation or not, if the images you receive actually help you to solve any problems, then your efforts will not have been in vain. For many people, proving the authenticity of the images they receive is at best, impossible. On the other hand, there are many people who receive images of such a nature, that they are indeed able to research places or even names which have been revealed to them.

While many people tend to discover that they’ve shared past lives with some of their loved ones from this life, the relationship they currently have with those people may differ to the relationship they shared in a past life. In other words, a brother in this life may have been a father in a previous life or they may even have been your son or daughter.

Perhaps you believe in reincarnation and perhaps you don’t but the fact remains, irrespective of what you believe, transgression is most often very helpful and certainly, extremely interesting.
