We are all able to compare ourselves against the top beautiful women in the world and walk away feeling a little less than prized. We are all in the same boat when it comes to figuring out whether we want to be one of the beautiful people or we want to condemn it. But the reality is that most of us are filled with criticism for anything we don’t feel a part of.
We make the choice not to be a part of it. We can spend our days seeking out a fat loss solution or applying face skin care cream five times per day. We can see the top plastic surgeon and ask for the secret night cream that will take 30 years off our 35 year old face. But we don’t do these things. Instead, we become (shall I dare say it) caddy.
We look at the beautiful women of the world and we know that we aren’t there because we have dirt under our nails from gardening with the kids or we have rugged nasty clothes on because we were out building our new boat. We have a different set of priorities and we should be fine with it.
We don’t have to look like a million bucks all the time. Sure, we all have things we want to change about ourselves, as do supermodels. Supermodels are just as insecure about their bodies and their imperfections as we are about ours. They just don’t show it because it’s part of the job not to.
Being beautiful comes in all shapes, sizes, and with all kinds of aspirations. Unless you want to join the supermodel ranks there is no reason why you have to be striving for perfect. Fix what you don’t like and embrace what you do like.
These are the things that beauty is really made of. It isn’t about the expensive hair appointments and the skin zapping. It’s about being someone genuine that others around you can feel. It’s about being honestly you in the moment.
You are allowed to be beautiful without being perfect and your are allowed to be perfect just as you are. You can stop judging yourself so harshly and start going for more of those moments where you forget everything and just simply feel beautiful. That is the joy of being a woman.
