3 Steps To Improving Self Esteem

Have you ever experienced a situation where you suddenly became a nervous mess in the face of a great opportunity? How many times have you spoiled an opportunity because of your lack of self esteem?

Building self esteem is probably one of the most important things you can do for yourself to realize your personal goals and purposes.Possessing a positive self esteem indicates that you are in line with your inner being that is omnipotent.

To be in touch with your inner Self, here are three simple strategies to improving self esteem.

1. Trust Your Own Feeling About Yourself

Building self esteem starts with trusting your own feelings about yourself.Reflect on how often you allow other peoples’ opinions to shape who you are.If you believe in yourself about your true feelings and do not allow external opinions to get in the way, you will not be brought down by the outer circumstances.
This strategy alone will give you the power to stop the self-limiting frame of mind and change it to a healthier one.

2. Set Yourself a Purpose

Practice healthy self esteem by setting a definite purpose for yourself.Setting a particular purpose is crucial in developing self confidence because your purpose will promote a positive sense of determination. This personality is an obvious sign of positive self esteem.
Seeking a specific purpose may seem hard at the beginning.  However, once you start trusting your own feelings about yourself, you’d find this exercise to be very easy.

3. Change Your Self Talk

Your self esteem is the direct product of your thoughts and your self talk.If you observe your mind closely, you’d see that it’s constantly filled with noises and “statics”.  Often you listen to your self talk unconsciously which sets the foundation of your self esteem. You can see that replacing your inner dialogue with positive affirmations is so powerful in boosting self esteem.

If you practice these simple activities, gradually you will notice that you have built a positive self esteem and stayed more in line with your best Self.
